Victor and Emily reconcile after a piano duet.Įmily is willing to give her whole heart (even literally) to those she cares for, and would even sacrifice her own happiness even after to help them, as evidenced when she stops Victor Van Dort from killing himself, then willingly steps aside and lets Victoria be with him. While she’s rather fun-loving and easy-going, Emily can easily feel guilty for others' situations indirectly caused by her and often shows nostalgic moments after arriving to the Land of the Living. She wears white pumps and white stockings (that have piled at her ankles, due to her skeletal body) to match her wedding dress.Įmily is a kind, somewhat gullible and sweet young deceased woman who has a kind-hearted nature. She also wears tattered fingerless gloves that end to her elbows though her right one appears to be hanging on her wrist. Her tattered veil is attached to a rose crown made of dead blue roses. There are pearls trimming the bottom and top of the bodice. There is light blue filigree on the bottom of the skirt and edging the veil. The dress has a long flowing pleated skirt with a rip up in the middle showing either of her legs. The tip of her nose is somewhat skeletal.Įmily wears a strapless dirt stained wedding dress which has a form fitting (likely corseted) bodice that ends in a deep V in the front.

Her right leg is almost completely bone except for the skin that still covered her foot and her ankle. Her right ribs are showing due to the hole in her wedding dress. Under her left arm is some exposed muscle, although her actual left arm is only bone. There is a hole in her left cheek that shows that her skin is deteriorating and reveals her white teeth. They have a gaunt, sunken look after her death.

Her current only colorful features are her purple lips, in contrast to her monochromatic blue coloring.Īfter her death, her long wavy hair (which was presumably dark colored) and her once pale skin turned blue while her big eyes became wide and circular with black dots as pupils. Bonejangles replies that Emily was a beauty known for miles around.Īs a corpse, she’s still graceful. It can be assumed that she was just as plain and dull like the rest of the living when she was alive. Luckily (and obviously), she came through.Emily was a tall and very beautiful young woman who had a slim and graceful figure. She mentioned that she also had to deal with fencing and cello lessons, likely on top of learning lines while also trying to work out a dance. It’s all so good.’ And I had not gone over it at all.Īlthough Ortega was clearly excited to choreograph the dance, she underestimated just how much work it would be. I know you got it, you’ve been working on it. And he came to my trailer about two days before we shot it and said, ‘Hey, Jenna, I know you said you wanted to choreograph this yourself because I refuse to see a choreographer. So I was super excited, super pumped – it was on my Episode 4 playlist. Initially, they wanted a flash mob, but I thought, ‘No, there’s no way Wednesday would be cool dancing and encouraging people.' So the director, Tim Burton, and I talked about it a little bit, and he said, ‘Yeah, let’s not do a circle, let’s have it be your own thing.’ I remember about a week before we shot the dance, he chose the song ‘Goo Goo Muck’ by The Cramps, and The Cramps is one of my favorite bands ever. Well, I read Episode 1.04 pretty early on, and we didn’t know what song we were going to be using, we didn’t know what the situation was. Ortega discussed how she and director Tim Burton decided on what to do for it: In the fourth episode, Wednesday goes to the Rave’N dance, where she does an odd but on-brand dance. Jenna Ortega recently appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where the two got on the topic of the iconic dance.
